An Organic New Years Eve

Bringing in the new year with some healthy snacks. One of my favorite snacks is diced peppers and cucumbers with a light sour cream dip. Here's to a healthy 2016!

Loving this new pencil skirt from J. Crew. The green, navy and black plaid is very in this fall and winter season. Paired it with a dressy black blouse from Brooks Brothers and black pumps from Antonio Melani. Tucked the blouse in to accentuate the waist line. Perfect outfit for the office.

Merry Christmas

I love the holidays. Growing up, Christmas was a day to put on our best outfit and go to our grandparents house. Through the years, we have lost our grandparents, but we still keep the tradition of dressing up alive! Another tradition we have kept is delicious holiday punch :)

I am in love with these new black pumps by Antonio Melani, the bow adds a nice feminine touch.

Ugly Christmas Sweater

Doesn't get much better than to be able to have ugly Christmas sweater day at work! So thankful I work at a place that has some fun every now and then. I got this lovely turtle neck and vest at the one and only K-Mart. They have a great selection of Christmas attire!

Christmas Came Early

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend. Well not to me. I much rather prefer other precious gems, such as sapphire. Was surprised with an early Christmas present, this beautiful yet simple sapphire ring :)

Ending Is Better Than Pending

Ending something whether it is a job, relationship, or habit can be very difficult to do. But what I have come to find is ending something opens you up to beginning something else. That something else will most likely be better than you could ever imagine and you may just find what brings you true happiness and fulfillment.

Some traditions are better than others. One tradition I am particularly fond of is my mom makes the same cookies that her mom would make every year at Christmas. Can you really go wrong when peanut butter, pecans, and chocolate are involved? I think not ;) Treat yourself this holiday season.

March To The Beat Of A Different Drum

Embrace what makes you unique and different, because that is what makes you beautiful! I have a hobby and it is playing the drums. While some might find that odd that a chick plays the drums, I find that it makes me unique and part of what makes me, me. Let Go

Stop holding onto people who keep letting go of you. Pay attention to the faithful people. I enjoyed a night out in beautiful Nashville to see a lovely Christmas show.  I find spending time enjoying the small things and with people that truly care about you, fill you with such happiness. Plus who doesn't love an opportunity to get all dolled up and walk around downtown? I am in love with this long winter coat from Kate Spade. Such a classic and dressy piece.

Ho Ho Hot Chocolate

Shout out to my wonderful sister who loves to make me happy and make me feel so loved! She made me a cup of her famous Christmas hot chocolate. Perfect for a cold night by the fire. This hot chocolate is topped with delicious whipped cream, large marshmallows and a candy cane.

Tis The Season

... To be jolly! There aren't many things better than walking through a Christmas tree farm and sipping on a cup of hot chocolate. Goodness, I love this time of year.

Just A Reminder

As a huge fan of mascara, ladies, if you are with a man that makes you cry ( not because you are laughing so hard ) leave him. Life is too short to be with someone that makes you feel insecure or not good enough. You are perfectly unique and deserve someone that makes you feel beautiful and loved.

Holidaze

For some reason this holiday I battled depression and just kind of being in a funk. Then someone came up to me yesterday and just said one line of encouragement and it completely surprised me and changed my entire outlook that day. It just reminded me that one little bit of encouragement can go a long way, even when you don't realize it. Encouragement is a huge thing and can mean the world to someone. Let's try to be more encouraging this holiday season. That might be the best gift to give.

I hope to be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody.

I Spy Something Red

Trying to soak up and appreciate the moments and find beauty in the small things that I so easily overlook. Today I choose to be thankful. Also, I am super thankful for this new fall scarf. It is my favorite and goes with so many things!

Healthy Snacks

Sometimes you just have a craving for some fresh mozzarella cheese so you have to make a run to the grocery store. One of my favorite healthy snacks is a little fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced cucumber, and reduced fat wheat thins. Being healthy is very important, when you feel good you are more confident, which always makes you look better.

Happiness In A Cup

Sporting my favorite accessory today.. COFFEE. Any day is made better with a little bit of sunshine and a cup of coffee. I chose to wear a lovely turquoise Kate Spade blouse with a basic black pencil skirt. I find wearing bright colors always makes someone with a darker complexion or dark hair pop.

Fall or Rise

"Once you say you're going to settle for second that's what happens to you in life, I find." Never settle for what is good because you don't think you deserve great. If you want better, be better. Even if you fall, always choose to rise. Just some of my thoughts on this dreary Monday.

Found a local designer dress that I love. Her clothing has a classic vintage feel to them. The belt adds a little color plus it accentuates the waist line. Dress hits right above the knee for a more flattering look. Paired it with some Kate Spade sling backs.

Being A Bridesmaid

Was asked to participate in my brothers wedding on a hot summer day. I decided to wear my hair up but loose and paired the dress with simple accessories and nude pumps.

Nashville

Spent my lunch break walking around a cute neighborhood in Nashville. Beautiful weather, good food, and a new top, it has been a good day :)

Spent the day walking around barefoot in this new dress from Dillards. Love the length and fit. It is perfect for a party, just pair it with a pair of white or silver pumps.

In love with this new jersey dress from Madewell. Paired it with pumps for a dressy look, but could wear sandals later for a casual dinner. Perfect for warm summer nights, comfortable but hugs the waist the accentuate an hour glass shape.
