New Year Thoughts

 

As this year is coming to a close, and boy was this a difficult year for me, I have high hopes for 2019. This last year taught me that when you do not love yourself adequately, you will put up with being mistreated and unappreciated. Somehow believing or telling yourself that this is the best you could or will get. Well let me say this, that is a complete lie. There are billions of people in the world and many would love to love you correctly!  Don't hesitate to love yourself and let go of anyone or anything that takes love from you.

Side note in case anyone needs some love advice ;)

Date someone for at least a year. Some people are really good at pretending to be exactly what you want and need, but with time the true person will always come out and stay.

Actions Over Words Every Time

Something that I have been trying to get better at lately is watching actions over words. I have had a lot of people tell me they love me and will never hurt me but their actions tell a different story. I know words are nice to hear and feel good in the moment but make sure the actions are lining up with the words, otherwise you are in for heartache. Something I have had to learn the hard way. Words without actions are like a heart with no beat. Useless. The beauty of going through these things is it makes me more aware of my words. Gives me an awareness to only say things that I mean because I know the pain it causes when you say things that you don't actually intend to follow through on.

In other news, this little white dress from Talbots is perfect for the summer and so comfortable. Nothing better than feeling confident in an outfit.

Let Go

Stop holding onto people who keep letting go of you. Pay attention to the faithful people. I enjoyed a night out in beautiful Nashville to see a lovely Christmas show.  I find spending time enjoying the small things and with people that truly care about you, fill you with such happiness. Plus who doesn't love an opportunity to get all dolled up and walk around downtown? I am in love with this long winter coat from Kate Spade. Such a classic and dressy piece.
